    It is proven that protein can decrease hunger and appetite.

    Protein increases the levels of appetite suppressing hormones while at the same time reducing the levels of hunger hormone, Ghrelin.

    One study shows that when participants increased their total calories from protein from 15% to 30% they consumed 440 calories less without trying to limit daily food portions.

      5 Fat loss protein shakes

      Ok here is what you’ve been waiting for. These 5 fat loss protein shakes are packed full of the highest quality ingredients, all made with 100% whey protein or alternatively plant protein for a vegan friendly option.

      1. Full of greens

      Note: All smoothies can be substituted with 1 egg yolk and two eggs whites if you don’t have whey or plant protein powder available.

      For each recipe, add all ingredients together in blender and blend until smooth. 

      • 1 scoop protein powder, vanilla flavour 
      • 3/4 cup spinach
      • 1 tbsp low fat cottage cheese (optional)
      • 3/4 cup lite dairy, soy, almond, rice or oat milk
      • 1 tsp chia seeds
      • 1/4 avocado
      • 1/2 cup water
      • ice

      Peanut butter and jelly

      • 1 scoop protein powder
      • 1 tbsp peanut butter
      • 1/4 cup blueberries
      • 1 tsp chia seeds
      • 1 tbsp unsweetened greek yogurt
      • 3/4 cup dairy, soy, almond, rice or oat milk
      • 1/2 cup water
      • ice

      3. Banana split

      • 1 scoop chocolate whey or plant protein (if no chocolate protein powder you can use vanilla protein or eggs and add 1tsp cacao powder
      • 1 banana
      • 1 tsp unsweetened greek yogurt
      • 6 almonds
      • 1 tsp chia seeds
      • 3/4 cup lite dairy, soy, almond, rice or oat milk
      • 1/2 cup water
      • ice

      4. Tropical paradise

      • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen mango
      • 1/2 cup pineapple
      • 1/2 cup spinach
      • 1 scoop protein
      • 1 tsp chia seeds
      • 1 tsp shreaded coconut
      • 3/4 cup coconut milk
      • 1/2 cup water
      • ice

      5. Oaty banana berry

      • 1 scoop Protein powder
      • 1 cup mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, boysenberries, blackberries)
      • 1/2 large banana or one small banana
      • 1 Tbsp rolled oats
      • 1 tsp chia seeds
      • 3/4 cup lite dairy, soy, almond, rice or oat milk
      • 1/2 cup water
      • ice
