When you follow a low carb diet such as the keto diet or the 21-Day Weight Loss Plan & Wellness Guide it is essential that you know how to make easy low carb snacks to include in your daily meal plan.

It is especially helpful to when you’re working full time, have young children (or old) to run around and lead a busy lifestyle.

It is too easy to buy food on the go, and all too often the food that is handy to us does not fit within our diet plan.

This is where combining easy low carb snacks and proper meal prepping is essential for staying on track with your diet and being able to meet and maintain your weight loss and body goals.

These are 5 easy low carb snacks that are quick to prepare, taste amazing and most importantly, wont ruin your diet.

Greek yogurt, berries and chia seeds

Greek yogurt is not only low in carbs, but it is high in protein packed with probiotics . Probiotics are essential for maintaining food gut health.

Without a healthy balance of good bacteria from probiotics, too much bad bacteria can build up and cause damage to our immune systems.

Berries, namely blueberries are a great antioxidant and are an approved food on the keto diet.

Greek yogurt, berries and chia are also great in smoothies and as a breakfast option.

Eggs and avocado

Eggs and avocado is a super easy snack to prepare.

Boil 1-2 eggs for 5-6 minutes. Dice 1/4-1/2 of an avocado and mix together in a bowl or container.

You can add some paprika, curry, himalayan salt or cracked pepper for extra flavour. 

This is a great snack for meal prepping as it is so easy to prep for a few days in advance.

Eggs are high in protein and avocados are high in healthy fats.

    Lite cottage cheese and fresh fruit

    This might not sound appealing to everyone but i’m certain that if you like both cottage cheese and fruit then you will love this combination!

    Cottage cheese is a low calorie, low carb food. 

    It is an excellent source of calcium as well as being high in protein. 

    Mixing cottage cheese with apples, blueberries, raisins or pineapple is a delicious low carb snack that is incredibly easy to whip up at work, on the go or as a late night snack.

    Just add 1/2 – 1 full cup of lite cottage cheese in a bowl and top with 1/2 cup fresh chopped fruit and you’re done! Sprinkle with cinnamon for extra taste.

    Raw unsalted almonds

    Almonds are a super nutritious and tasty snack to have any time of the day.

    They are high in healthy fats, fiber, protein, magnesium and vitamin E.

    Almonds can help to reduce blood sugar levels, reduce blood pressure and lower cholesterol levels.

    They can also reduce hunger and promote fat burning

    Having a small handful of almonds as a snack is perfect for anyone on a low carb diet.

    Cucumber and cheese/cream cheese

    While cucumber is extremely low in calories and carbs, it has a lot of important vitamins and minerals.

    Since cucumber is high in water, it helps with hydration.

    It also contains antioxidants which are molecules that block oxidation, a chemical reaction that forms highly reactive atoms with unpaired electrons known as free radicals.

    Cheese or cream cheese is high in calcium and protein and also very low in carbs. 

    Combining some slices of cucumber with cheese is a very  tasty low carb snack that is quick and easy to to prepare at any time.

    This is another great snack for meal prepping.

     

    Having some healthy, low carb snacks is definitely going to help you stick to your low carb diet and be able to reach and maintain your weight loss and body goals.
